Sir John Whitmore explains Coaching as, “Unlocking a person’s potential to maximise his or her own performance.”
While, Marshal Goldsmith’s defines it as, “Helping successful leaders achieve positive, lasting change in behaviour; for themselves, their people and their teams.”
And the International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines Coaching as, “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximise their personal and professional potential.”
For me, Coaching simply is a structured process of asking questions, to guide my client's find their own answers. And consequently, make persistent positive change in their behaviour, making sure, that I don't provide any advice during this process.
